Torkun məhdudlaşdırıcıları və sürüşmə muftaları

Drive shafts often operate in sərt conditions, and the efficient power required to perform the machine requires the use of safety devices to maintain its integrity. Safety torque limiting devices improve performance and reduce the risk of accidents.

We manufacture a wide range of shaft torque limiters that protect the drive mechanism from frequent power overloads that can cause machine damage.

PTO Torque Limiters and Slip Clutches for Sale

Torque limiters are an important safety measure in the manufacturing industry. They protect machinery from damage by dissipating excess torque. Torque limiters may be called overload clutches or torque reducers. The main purpose of these devices is to protect mechanical equipment from overworking. They prevent damage to machine components by dissipating the rotational energy. You may be wondering what torque limiters are. There are many types of torque limiting clutches available to suit your needs.

Slip Clutch Torque Limiter

A slip clutch or torque limiter is a mechanical device that limits the amount of torque that gear can be subjected to. Typically, the torque limiter will use a spring to hold the drive pawl against a notch in the rotor. As the drive shaft slips, the excess torque is dissipated in the form of heat. Slip clutches do not need to be reset when they are set to limit torque.

A friction torque limiter, on the other hand, requires sensors and a means to stop a load from over-torque. These devices are often susceptible to damage from over-torque events. Torque limiters can be installed in a number of formats, including on a hub or between a driven shaft and a bearing-supported component. Using a torque limiter on a gear can protect your gear train, as well as your machinery and personnel.

Torque limiters provide dependable torque control and overload protection. They are usually equipped with one or more friction discs mounted on an inner hub. A single nut allows you to adjust the clutch’s setting and transmit the torque.

A slipper clutch is similar to a torque limiter in that it mediates back-torque. It prevents the drive tire from losing traction as the engine slows down. Slipper clutches are designed for motorcycles with high-performance needs. However, a slipper clutch can be an effective alternative to a standard slipper.

The Importance of a PTO Torque Limiter

When a tractor’s front PTO becomes too strained, it is essential to install a PTO torque limiter. These devices will slip out of place when the implement’s torque exceeds the PTO’s maximum horsepower. Then, the PTO will not be overloaded, thereby saving the front PTO. Torque limiters are usually installed on tractors with 540rpm gearboxes.

A torque limiter can be in the form of a friction-disc device. This type of torque limiter requires sensors and a means to stop the overload condition. The disadvantage of friction torque limiters is that they are susceptible to damage. Torque limiters come in different formats, including those that mount a sprocket, pulley, or sheave. They are used to connect the driven shaft to a bearing-supported component.

How do Torque Limiters Work?

Also called overload clutches or torque reducers, torque limiters protect the machine from damage by dissipating excess torque. The main purpose of these devices is to protect mechanical equipment from overwork. They prevent damage to machine components by dissipating rotational energy.

Torque limiters work in two ways. They reduce the amount of torque a conveyor can produce and, as a result, make it easier to move items. Without a torque limiter, a conveyor could slip and become dangerous for operating personnel. A torque limiter prevents this from happening by reducing the torque required to move a conveyor. This ensures that the conveyor can still move while clearing a jam without damaging itself or the conveyor system.

In addition to this, PTO torque limiters are designed to prevent permanent damage to sensitive components. A common overload release design would be unpractically large in outside diameter, which would result in it towering over the equipment.
